This fall the FVRA masters racing team had several athlete milestones accomplished through the 2 local races that we were able to participate in. It was a rough fall for racing. The CRI Fall Classic was canceled because of an incoming hurricane in mid-September and then Head of the Housatonic, scheduled for October 7th, was canceled for the first time ever due to anticipated bad

On Thursday Nov 29th club members gathered in Avon to discuss the past year, club updates and plans for 2019. It was a great to see everyone and meet some prospective members. Registration is currently open for our winter training programming which includes both a Beginner/Learn to Row sessions as well as Experienced. Seventeen individuals braved howling wind gusts of 50-60 mph to attend the FVRA annual spring meeting on March 17th . Generously hosted by club member Tamra at her beautiful historic Farmington home, old and new members gathered around with treats and libations ready to discuss forthcoming season plans and schedules.
